Message Check the version of the 'redhat-release' package. Its version is what you
should give to the --release argument when creating your channel.

Message Greetings,

I have an current running under RedHad as 3 and have created a channel using the following command line:

 cadmin create_channel --label rhlas3 --arch i386 --release 3AS

But when I try to register a client I get:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/sbin/up2date", line 1174, in ?
    sys.exit(main() or 0)
  File "/usr/sbin/up2date", line 722, in main
    if cfg['useRhn'] and not up2dateAuth.getLoginInfo():
  File "up2dateAuth.py", line 166, in getLoginInfo
  File "up2dateAuth.py", line 119, in login
xmlrpclib.Fault: <Fault 1000: 'No compatible channels found for client'>

So, I am inclined to think that I have created my channel incorrectly. It would be appreciated if someone out there could tell me what the correct command line should be for AS3, or point me in the right direction.

Thanks
