Message John,

Thanks, I guess I must of missed that part in the documentation.

Anyways, it works now.

btw, I get a message on my client that says, not signed with a GPG
signature. Continue?

Message You'll need to upgrade to at least mod_python-3.0.1; the stock
mod_python as shipped with RHL8.0 will not work.

Message What OS rev is your server running? And what version of mod_python?

Message I finally got the Current server up and running, I think.

I am now able to run up2date --register from the client. It goes through
the registration process, ie: asking for machine name, email id, gathers
a list of rpm, etc...

Then I click on the "Redhat Linux 8.0" Channel that I created, and it
hangs on the progress dialog,
The "progress dialog" says: Fetching package list for channel:
redhat-8.0 and it goes to "100%"
(my client is running RH 8)
it just sits there.

Is there a place where I can read further about the Current Server?

I'm not sure if I have the redhat trees correct.

Here's a snippet from my current.conf file:

      26 [redhat-8.0]
      27 name = Red Hat Linux 8.0
      28 parent_channel =
      29 arch = i386
      30 os_release = 8.0
      31 description = Red Hat Linux 8.0
      32 srpm_check = 0
      33
      34 rpm_dirs = /redhat-psyche/RedHat/RPMS
      35 /redhat-psyche/RedHat/updates
      36 /redhat-psyche/RedHat/rawhide
      37
      38 src_dirs = /redhat-psyche/SRPMS

The current.log doesn't say much, I have log_level = 1

tail -f /tmp/current.log
May 13 14:51:50 Current v1.4.4rc1 starting up

-thanks
steve
