Except for downgrading up2date, this is what I do here (although at the
moment we (duke biology) are still primarily 7.2/7.3).

I hope to have full 3.0/3.1 up2date support checked in to the 1.4 tree
this weekend or so. The release of current that you would be looking for
would then be called 1.4.4.

ON THAT NOTE:
If the kind souls out there running current with the RHL 8.0/9 would
be kind enough to go through their logs and send me the
modules/functions that current identifies as "unsupported", that would
be a great help (I have a list here, but I'm trying to make certain I
get them all).

Email those to me directly - no need to clutter the list with them.

PLEASE PLEASE: I do not need your entire log file. I don't even need the
whole entry. Just the name of the module.function that caused the entry.

registration.terms_and_conditions()

is ALL that I need. (And is one of the new functions current needs to
support)

Message Hi all,

I'm wondering whether there are people who already use current on a large
scale (more than, say 2 machines) with RedHat 8.0 (or even 9?).

If so, what would be the steps to accomplish this?
I myself have thought about this, and came up with the following:
 - Create an RPM which:
    - downgrades up2date (and dependencies?)
    - overwrites /etc/sysconfig/rhn/* with own settings (serverURL's)
    - execute rhnreg_ks
    - install crontab entry
 - After a default RH installation, install above RPM and I'm set.

Is this indeed the way to go?

If nobody does this right now (for example, if it's not possible), I'm
curious what the plan is with RH8.0/9 support.
Can someone give an update on this?
