Message Yes I did the entire setup including the cinstall initdb.

- I created an user postgres using the createuser comman
- From the postgres account, using the createdb command, I create a database
named mabase.
- From the root account, I invoked the cinstall initdb.

Here is the current.conf file

[root@SSREFLNX current]# cat current.conf
[current]
log_file = /var/log/current.log
log_level = 4
apache_config_file = /etc/httpd/conf.d/current.httpd.conf
access_type = user
access_arg = apache
current_dir = /export/current
# The 'db' is which backend we're using
# db_type=pysqlite
db_type = postgres
# db_user and db_pass should be obvious
db_user = postgres
db_pass = postgres
# db_name is the name of the database - what oracle calls a 'SID'
db_name = mabase
db_host = localhost

# These are some text messages that the server can return to the clients
# in various API calls.
## The period is there to provide a "blank line". Sheesh.
welcome_message = "Welcome to current, an open source server for up2date."
privacy_statement = "Privacy Statement:
        Authorized users only."

server_id = current77!
server_secret = fg78LK77
## END OF LINE ##

Here are the postgres infos.

First of all, the /etc/sysconfig/rhn/up2date file is only read by the
up2date client, not by the server. (The server config file is in
/etc/current/current.conf.) It sounds to me like you have not
installed the current apache configuration. Did you run through the
entire setup including cinstall initdb?
