Message Just a note:

These boxes have an Intel processor with 64Bit extensions (EM64T). The
corresponding Redhat EL variant is the same as for Opteron machines.

The architecture specified in /etc/rpm/platform is ia32e-redhat-linux .

To avoid:

-----------

  I had to include this arch into (current 1.6.0)
/usr/share/current/archtab.py
with the line:
-----------
     "ia32e" : [ "ia32e", "x86_64", "i386", "noarch" ],
-----------

to make things work. I included "i386" because also i386 compatibility
rpms need to be handled. I have not tested that, however.
