Message Hi all,

I wrote an email with this same question a week or so ago, but I didn't
get any answers, was that because the email message was too bloated?
Sorry if that is the case, I'm just trying to give you as much
information as possible to help you understand the problem. I truncated
a lot of information and chopped it down to what I need to say only.

So this is my situation:

I execute the up2date gui client, a new window with "welcome to the
Redhat Update Agent" etc appears. I hit the forward button and it shows
"TestChannel" (my test Current channel) with my privacy notice at the
bottom. I then tick the "TestChannel" option and click Forward again. A
new dialog box with the title "Progress Dialog" appears, with "Fetching
... please wait" inside the window.

I wait a minute or two, and it seems to do nothing - the progress bar is
almost at 100%. The application just sits there, stalls and does nothing
(no cpu/network activity). The cancel/forward buttons do not function
and I have to kill the process. I only have about 5 packages in the
channels directory so it doesn't make much sense for it to be taking
that long, what might cause that problem?

"up2date -l" also stalls at the fetching packages stage. It says
connecting to the server, fetching packages, then endlessly prints
series of # to the screen.

I tail -f'd my httpd access_log, error_log and ssl_access_log along with
current.log into a different current.log file, the information from
those is below:
