Message I am having trouble getting my Current implementation to work. I get
through the initdb, create_apache_config, and create_certificate without
any errors in the current.log file, but once I try to create a channel
using "cadmin create_channel", I get the following in the current.log:
Current v1.6.1 log file
Aug 25 16:06:53 Current v1.6.1 starting up
Aug 25 16:06:53 Could not get DB connection!
Aug 25 16:06:53 Error initializing data base! Current will not function
Aug 25 16:0653 : EXCEPTION in /usr/share/current/current_apache.py,
init_backend(), 91 [logException()]
*snip*

# more /etc/current/current.conf
[current]
log_file = /var/log/current.log
log_level = 1
apache_config_file = /etc/httpd/conf.d/current.conf
access_type = group
access_arg = apache
current_dir = /data/current
# The 'db' is which backend we're using
db_type = mysql
# db_user and db_pass should be obvious
db_user = usapnoc
db_pass =
# db_name is the name of the database - what oracle calls a 'SID'
db_name = up2date
db_host = localhost

Any idea why this might be?
I am running RHEL ES4, with MySQL 4.1.20, Current 1.6.1, Apache 2.0.52.

thanks,
John
