Message Pauline,

I just tested out MySQL 5.0.22 on FC5. I think the following error
has to do with MySQL 5 having "release" as a reserved word...although
I was hoping that one of your patches had fixed this. Do we need to
change the name of this column?

*sigh* I like postgresql so much better... :-)

Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g.
Your MySQL connection id is 5 to server version: 5.0.22

Type 'help;' or '\h' for help. Type '\c' to clear the buffer.

mysql> create table PACKAGE (
    -> package_id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY auto_increment,
    -> name varchar(64) not null,
    -> version varchar(64) not null,
    -> release varchar(64) not null,
    -> epoch varchar(8) not null,
    -> issource smallint not null,
    -> index(name),
    -> index(version),
    -> index(release)
    -> ) Type=InnoDB;
ERROR 1064 (42000): You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the
manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right
syntax to use near 'release varchar(64) not null,
    epoch varchar(8) not null,
 ' at line 5
