I hadn't seen the mailing list archives yet. Cool.

What are we doing?

1. I've redone the home page to look better
2. I've setup what I think is a good start in the "issues" database
   with catagories or whatever.
3. John's continueing to work on the postgres branch.
4. I've utterly failed to checkin my patches to the 1.4.x branch for 8.0
yet, as I've been dealing with MS-SQL all over the place.

Whats due for 1.4.x? (3 - it'll be 1.4.3, but we're working on the 1.4.x
branch)

a. some packages had filenames different from the typical filename, and
this was causing problems in the header downloads. The fix is to create
the filename from the meta-data, not use a string method on the rpm
filename. I thought I had that one licked, but in the old mailing list a
user reported it failed - and I thought I knew why and I don't.

b. 8.0 compatibility requires just a few changes in
   1. import rpm404 as rpm for 8.x, fall back to rpm for 7.x
   2. document the mime issue we saw, and file an "issue" in our db to
      look at it again later
   3. document the change needed to mod_ssl (general apache problem,
      not current related.)
   4. change the spec file to build for either 7.x or 8.x, depending on
      mod_python 3.0.1 if we're shooting for 8.x
   5. I think thats all, but I haven't tested this here yet.
I'm gonna do a fresh install of current, to make sure its correct.
   6. I thought there was some problem with building a 6.2 tree, but
I'll have to go back and look now.

c. I just have to get used to using the dev list, and checking in my
chnages to cvs _as_I_work_. I'm sorry guys - I'm trying.

d. *I* need to get back to hacking on 1.5.x myself (johns doign the
backend stuff well, but there's more to work on), but I'm swamped at
work right now.

e. I think tigris is cool, but a little slow - whats everyone elses
opinion?
