the valid_channels variable is simply a list of channel labels
that you've created and determined to be valid. The actual strings
involved are totally at your discretion.

All you have to do is ensure that your channel definitions are
accurate (i.e. arch and os_release).

This file will be overwritten when you register with the Current
server, as you will have to do in order to use it. If you only have the
one platform, you're probably better off using RHN. Even if you have
multiple AS platforms, you're still probably better off using RHN, since
you've already paid for support through RHN. (At least, it's my
understanding that you can't get AS without getting support from Red
Hat...)
